Many clients are unsure about what psychological counselling entails.  They wonder about the kinds of topics and issues that people bring to counselling.  

Where is your practice located?

Caroline's private practice is located in Star of the North Retreat Centre in St. Albert, Alberta. The site provides ample free parking and beautiful gardens, gazebo and paths for clients wishing to explore before or after a session.

Inside there are multiple waiting areas that are comfortable and spacious.

What happens during my session?

When you arrive you will be welcomed with a tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice or water.
You will then meet with Caroline in a private, inviting space. She will assess your situation through questions about your life, your current mental and physical health and presenting issues and therapeutic goals.

How Long is my session?

Sessions are 50 minutes long. During your time with Caroline she will work with you toward addressing your current needs.

Methods of payment

Payment can be made via cash or e-transfer at the beginning of each session. Direct Billing for Alberta Blue Cross Members.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral.

I’m worried about confidentiality. Will my session be kept private?

Confidentiality is of utmost importance, the identity of our clients and the content of our sessions, apart from certain legal situations which are outlined at the beginning of our first session, are kept completely private.
